The residential development for 12 serviced apartments at Merrill Way caters for the short, medium and long term needs of established international businesses in this part of Derby. Lathams worked with Stanton Developments from concept through to technical design to develop this brown field site.
The two and a half storey development, with the roof space 'inhabited', gives the building a crisp, contemporary appearance. A simple materials palette informed by high quality brickwork detailing, emphasises the clean, simple lines with deep door and window reveals. The quality of the development is further enhanced through the careful consideration and design of the external spaces, including hard and soft landscaping to enhance the building's setting.
